Founding an Impact Hub takes time. The founding journey is designed to help you in your efforts step-by-step: from building your team, to engaging your community and building your local business model and financial plans. Once part of the Impact Hub Network, we continue supporting you as you launch the whole Impact Hub experience in your city/region!

More than 30+ teams have tested the process - rest assured, that the whole journey aims to support you rather than putting obstacles in the way of fulfilling your vision. The journey consists of 4 phases - 2 phases are focusing on your license application and 2 phases will help you to put your plans into action.

Application Phases:

• The Pre-Candidate Phase is the starting point. Once you have a co-founding team of 3-5 people you can embark on the journey. During this phase, you will work on the application to become an official Impact Hub Candidate Team.
• The Candidate Phase (5 months) helps you to localize the Impact Hub model to your city. During this phase, you receive the exclusive rights to pilot Impact Hub in your city. Beyond that, your receive Brand Support, loads of training and coaching, and access to the Impact Hub Network and its knowledge. At the end of this phase, you apply for the Impact Hub license.

Launch Phases:

• The Initiative Phase (0 - 18 months) starts with a key milestone - you are now an official member of the Impact Hub Network and you are holding the Impact Hub license for your city! During this phase you are expected to work on further expanding your community, launch your space, and build up your events, programs, and ecosystem activities.
• The Up & Running Phase (unlimited) starts once the full Impact Hub experience is in place - you have a vibrant community, inspiring space, and meaningful content. Congratulations! Now you are a fully-fledged Impact Hub.
